Profile

Susumu Hasegawa is a reform strategist and public-interest designer dedicated to building a more transparent and citizen-driven society in Japan.
Since the late 1990s, he has played a pioneering role in financial, insurance, transportation, and tourism reforms, following Japan’s era of deregulation and market liberalization known as the Japanese Big Bang.

With a career vision of shifting “From Government-led to Consumer-led” systems, Hasegawa founded the Global Talent Institute, where he continues to promote initiatives that connect government, media, and civil society to create sustainable social innovation.
